Kempsey Bypass Alliance
AE Group were engaged by Leighton Contractors to provide Major Plant Hire to their Kempsey Bypass Alliance Project.
The project scope included the design and construction of 14.5km of four-lane divided highway from Kempsey to Frederickton having more than 2.5 Million cubic meters of material to remove.
Plant utilised were PC1100, PC850 and PC710 Excavators with a fleet of 11 Komatsu 50T Rear Dump Trucks and 50T Water carts. AE 16H Graders and Compactors were utilised in the bulk earthworks crews for haul road maintenance and management of fills. Large Komatsu 475 and 375 Dozers were utilised in the primary cuts for material management in conjunction with the drill and blast contractor.
The large volumes of material hauled up to 9km through the project required our fleet to interact extensively with other construction traffic and was achieved without incident and to the satisfaction of our client.
Our excellent safety record combined with our late model equipment has meant that we remain the Contractor of choice for Leighton and we are proud to continue our long standing relationship with them on numerous projects throughout Queensland and New South Wales.
