GC09 Reclamation Project
AE Group were engaged to undertake the bulk earthworks of the GC09 package as part of the stage 1 development of the Wiggins Island Coal Export Terminal (WICET) which is located approximately 12km north-west of the city of Gladstone.
The GC09 construction package covers the bulk earthworks and civil works south of Hanson Road (Gladstone-Mt Larcom Road) and comprised:
- Overland conveyor earthworks and pavements
- Reclamation Area C dredge bunds
- Rail Receival Access civil works
- Rail Receival bulk earthworks
The project included the following scope:
- 875,268m3 bulk earthworks
- 77,235m3 drainage blanket production and placement
